Looks like a briefcase
Does look like a briefcase except the way the lid closes. Could be a carry case for a clarinet, flute etc.
What's inside -- lining, dividers, anything?? It seems an odd size for a normal briefcase...?
...or, you're saying the key is missing so you don't know what's inside...?? (that little lock can't be *that* complex, for a trained locksmith?)
AnythingObscure the lining is like blue felt. You just push the two metal side things together and it open up.
