This little pottery piece is 3" long x 2" high x 2" wide. Signed in the bottom "d a wilfong". Maybe a holder for matches, toothpicks or business cards. Did a brief, unsuccessful search for this potter. The colors of this piece hooked me....

Third of the three items I found today. I passed on a bright orange, fluted, controlled bubble art glass bowl/ash tray as I couldn't place its origin. It had a very rough, broken pontil. May go back for it tomorrow....

Thanks for your comment, Eileen! Agree, most households have at least one toothpick holder. If you are a CWer, maybe dozens! The color of this one is what pulled me in, the lavender of the glaze contrasting with the color of the clay....

Thanks for loving my clay receptacle, whatever it is for Alfie21, Eileen, PhilDMorris, Thomas, Kevin, dav2no1, fortapache, AnythingObscure and Watchsearcher!

I did finally figure out that the controlled bubble bowl/ashtray mentioned in the description is probably by Bischoff. Hard to believe I have nothing by Bischoff in my collection. So tempting.......

I saw the thumbnail and thought this was an ikebana bowl!
      Love the laze.
