Well one that exploded anyway :) I assume it is Japanese but the label is very faint all I can read is the very stylised modern writing of "ART GLASS". Mr Google was no help, but maybe Karen will know. I like the colours very much but there was a lot of cleaning to do, it looked like there had been one of those spiky metal flower holders in it as the bottom was all rusty and took a lot of rubbing with Brasso fortunately with a vase this shape even my big mits fit in! The vase itself is got quite a few air bubbles and the odd brown line. Height is 205mm and 180mm wide at the top

Iwatsu had a line called "ArtGlass":

Same stylized "A" on the labels of both pieces.....

Thanks Kevin the format of the letters is the same so I think you are right. The vase also looks like some Iwatsu Hineri ones I have minus the "pinching" on the sides.

      Gorgeous vase.
Yes Art Glass is Japanese, a sales name for Iwatsu who also made Hineri.

Thanks Karen your expertise on the ID is also appreciated. Best thing is that you Kevin agree so that pretty much seals it :)
