This 2" pin/pendant was also an online purchase at the Val-U-Bet price that yours truly likes to pay. I really love it. Smashed stone in blue, tan, green, white with a stylized helmet of brass and copper. I can't quite make the stamp out - .......PIEJRA with the T J or X mark. I think it's 1950's-70's. These composite stone items seem to lose a few glued in goodies over the years. I can't believe how perfect this is except for a scratch on the helmet's cheek. Doesn't bother me. I love this addition to my composite jewelry from Mexico.

Pics 3 and 4 are from my road trip, Mono Lake, CA and Red Hill, NV views. I was trying to share some blue, tan, green and white.....

It's a 5 hour and 30 minute trip to Mono Lake. Never have explored that area.

Mono Lake is stinky, we didn't do any hiking there. But it looked so nice from up here. Yes, pretty darn far. However, very close is the Lundy Canyon and that is a really amazing area to hike, boat, or camp. Our "little Memorial weekend" road trip was 1200 miles. It would be closer for you. Bummed we didn't check out the Mammoth Loop or Convict Lake.

      Beautiful older pendant Mary!
I have seen these in my Mother’s drawer too!
Road trips can be so fun, I have pictures from YEARS ago, going through Yosemite and Bass Lake and such. Ran into some Hell’s Angels once that wanted my best friend Gretchen and I to party with them. We politely refused!!!

Eileen - I love road trips DUH as you know. I think you shared a pic of you and Gretchen so I have an image of the 2 lovely young girls that met and politely said no. I brought this on my Oregon road trip, didn't wear it. I wore the recent Mexico pin/pendant silver "cross" circa 1940's a lot and had a chance to educate the admirer about it and CW!
