Sherman wasn’t the only jewelry company to make beautiful RED jewelry..( wink to dear Phil).
D & E brooch with slim and regular navettes, chatons in a five tier masterpiece set in rhodium! Topped off with a fabulous ruby red rivoli as the focal point!
Notice the slims are pointing up on the second tier!
I have seen this piece in sapphire and topaz but the RED wins! It is 2 1/2 inches in width and stands a full inch in height! The curse of D & E… now to find the earrings!

That angle of the stones is quite wonderful, I was not ready for this beauty to show up and it is a showstopper ! The big red show stone seems to be growing every time I look at it and the two more tiers of clear stones also make this piece stand out. I always seem to look at the pin at back to see if it has that added stop at the one end which is a D & E trait which I love. This brooch does its job which seems to be create envy !~

Super gorgeous Delizza & Elster brooch!!! Love the multiple layers of stunning red navettes, sparkling diamond like rounds and WOW! The large rivoli stone is magnificent. You have such good taste and the eye for quality jewelry!!!!!!

What a dazzling brooch this is! And unusual to have a star with 9 points. I've never seen one like this before. The mix of chatons and navettes, the way they "climb" to that stunning central rivoli stone, is exceptionally well done.
P.S. The red and "white" (clear) stones make a fabulous combination, and if I owned it, I would wear it for Canada Day.

Phil, Thank you so much for your continued support and love back to you!
It is a very large piece, and yes, it does look like a space station, Ha!

Thank you dear Lori, the red is what drew me to it, and the 5-tiers, and the rivoli crystal…Ha!

Mani, a showstopper it is! It’s the red that does it! Like I mentioned there are other colors but nothing like Red! It’s such a “show-off” color! Thank you so much my dear!

raven, how kind of you to comment on my brooch! Thank you so much for your kindness!

Awe thanks Scott! It is quite the piece, that’s for sure!

FreshAir, made me blush! Such kind words and describing this D & E work of art to a “T”.
As a collector of D & E yourself, you know quality when you see it, Ha!

rhineisfine, I am so glad you love my Red brooch. Yes, D & E construction is hard to beat, one has to learn about it as they never signed any piece. Some think a piece needs a signature to be valuable and sought after. NOT SO! D & E also used “odd” numbers, that is why you see 9 points. Thank you for such a wonderful, in depth comment, I appreciate it so.

      Celiene, LOL! You said it!

Thanks again all my friends here on CW. I haven’t been posting much lately. I still feel somewhat guilty, with all the hardships going on in our country and around the world, buying jewelry seems a little selfish! ( only my opinion for myself) But things are starting to look up! Hope all are safe and well, love to all of you!

Very lovely D&E in Red! Eileen, I've read all the comments from our friends and agree it is so special! You are the owner of it now and sharing history for us. Do you think this is late 50's? It would be neat to see an advertisement. Love it my friend!

Just got home last night, been with the boys ( all 4 of them, including my son, but he came to help out), Michele & Steven went back-packing again.
As far as dating this piece, it’s a guess, but I believe early 60’s! I don’t believe DeLizza & Elster advertised like Coro or Kramer or any of the big names…if they did, I too, would love to see an advertisement of theirs!!!
      Thanks for the love dear!

Once again, I thank you all, I don’t thank individually because it brings my post back up to the top, which it has already been. Some here do this, which in my opinion, isn’t fair to the new posts :)

      Thank you Dawnlady!
As you are a Sherman collector, I collect D & E! Some pieces are certainly worth the $$$.
This one rarely comes around to buy so dishing out $$$ was certainly worth it. BTW, your Sherman collection is spectacular!
