Vintage alabaster lamp which has pierrot clown sitting on the moon.
Would like to know maker as it's been in the family for at least 60 years.
No markings and no idea where it's from.

Absolutely gorgeous pierrot lamp, it's lovely!
One of the nicest ones that I have seen. The materials and style look Italian in nature. The story of pierrot and columbine is one of the oldest and made for beautiful statues to come out of it. Maker is impossible to say. One of the most beautiful statues was of the 3 graces. Apart from the most beautiful by Canova, it has been copied since it was made in various sizes and styles. Yours looks to be about 20 inches, a nice height.
