I need to reupholster these because the leather was torn. I have been trying to figure out what era and style they are. The legs are Chippendale style, right? But the back doesn't fit that. The legs are solid wood and the carving does not seem to be factory as there are slight differences on the chairs. Does anyone have any ideas? The chairs are unmarked. I will be keeping the springs and webbing of course. I have researched high and low and can't find

Yes, chippendale style but you also have to realize that a lot of makers put their own take on a style so they can waver from a strict style to modifications. Beautiful legs, however !~
