    I inherited these (could be) amethyst studs from my great great aunt, frowned upon for qualifying as a pediatrician on those times, educating women was frowned upon. She was Victoria Coffee. (Irish) They're quite old, don't have any markings and missing backs/butterflies. I'd like a date / era / and stone confirmed

      Your best bet on stone would to take it to your jeweler and have appraised. Realize they sometimes charge for it, but in my opinion, only way to know for sure.
