I found this today. not sure how old, but i'm thinking mid-century - 50s? 60s? I was immediately drawn to it as Apocynum cannabinum - Indian Hemp is native to California as well as my family's land back east. It's a great butterfly plant. not sure what it was used for in the pharmacy though.

FUN!!! Nowadays of course (in CA, especially) it'd be the *perfect* container to hold one's prescription of medical marijuana?!! (or, do they do 'recreational' out there too now...it'd be good for that as well, I suppose...?) <LOLOL>
yes, it's pervasive, and mostly recreational now. it doesn't hurt anyone and makes for a somewhat peaceful and creative society. actually, i do believe it does harm some people, but only a small number from my observation. that is an important point to remember.

On the subject of marijuana, I'm glad to see it becoming decriminalized, because I might need it some day for my health.
