The one on the left (with the tulip design) measures 2 3/8" wide by 3 3/8" long. It contains a mirror, burgundy lipstick, blush cake rouge/mascara, compressed loose face powder and two lambswool puffs. The one on the right (with the enameling) measures 2 1/8" wide by 3 1/2" long. It contains a mirror and traces of loose face powder.
The cases probably were produced for Hudnut by Thomas R "Tommy" Lewis of Lewis Jewelry Manufacturing Company (19 Calendar Street, Providence, Rhode Island).
