THE BEATLES, WITH THE ICONIC RELEASE OF THE ALBUM, 'ABBEY ROAD'.
MAN LANDED ON THE MOON AND THE BEATLES ASKED ALL TO 'COME TOGETHER'..THEY DID, ON A FARM PASTURE IN WOODSTOCK, NEW YORK AND YET THE BEATLES DID NOT COME.
JOHN LENNON ONCE SAID THAT IT WAS PEACE HE WAS WANTING FOR ALL AND NOT A PROTEST SUPPORTER..THOUGH HE AND YOKO HAD THEIR BED IN FOR PEACE AND THE CONSTANT HARASSMENT HE GOT FROM THE F.B.I. AND FACING DEPORTATION....THEY WERE PARADOXIAL TIMES...1969 WAS ALSO THE FIRST YEAR OF U.S. PRESIDENCY FOR RICHARD NIXON..THREE YEARS LATER, IN 1972, HE RESIGNS FROM OFFICE AND THAT SAME YEAR THE BEATLES RESIGN.

    THANK YOU

Who doesn’t love “ABBEY ROAD” ?
And for all you conspiracy nuts out there, I do believe Paul just wanted to go barefoot that day! And just maybe his stride is different from the others because he is left handed..hmmmm

Ms.CrystalShip, Either I was never totally up on the "Paul Is Dead" conspiracy theories, or I've forgotten some of them. I only noticed just now because of your comment that McCartney is out of step with the others.

What interests me: exactly how warm was it that day in London?

In much of the USA, what is regarded as a very warm day would be one in which walking barefoot on asphalt (AKA tarmacadam) would be either uncomfortable or perhaps even downright burn-inducing.

I have to wonder if it was maybe about 80F, which to the British in the mid-twentieth century would have been very warm indeed. };-)
