    HELLO ALL...TWO U.S. MERCURY DIMES.
THESE TYPES WERE MINTED BETWEEN 1916-1945.
FIRST CALLED LIBERTY DIMES, THE NAME MERCURY CAME TO BE DUE TO THE LIKENESS OF LADY LIBERTY TO THE ROMAN GOD MERCURY.
THE DIMES COMPOSITION IS 90% SILVER AND 10% COPPER.
    THESE 2 ARE 1942 AND 1945 RESPECTFULLY

    THANK YOU.

Is all this just to display a couple of dimes or did you have a question about them? Just curious if there might be a question?

fhrjr2, No question..just showing in Show & Tell is all. Thank You for asking.

nice show and tell...smiling....ya the dime's had a life of their own ,as a kid I always had a dime in my wallet to call home if I got in to trouble ..smiling,... then we save them to put in our march of dime coin holder for the red cross at school ... yip once upon a time a dime was special .... I remember saying things like "it could spin on a dime ...." lol or here's a dime call someone who cares ... yip cant do that today .... have a good day ...fhrjr2.. you walking sideways today ..? lol

I sold a bunch of these a couple of years ago to a coin shop for the melt value….no matter what shape they were in, the going price at the time was $1.50 each. Probably worth more now…keep an eye on silver prices. :^)

Mom always gave us a dime to call home in emergencies!! Kept it in our sock.
