This particular shape and type of decor was designed by H.Iwata and made in a number of colours, this green, beige, and a soft pink.
Green is a calming colour for me so this vase suits just fine.
I think this vase is production made and it has been given as a corporate gift hence the sticker on the base.
The white, cream and green spatter on clear glass, and the gold foil overlay, are all nicely muted by sandblasting the glass. The result is a strong but soft decor that has a very Japanese style to it.
It would have been made late 80s/early 90s or so as indicated by the sticker. Nice to have a date on it!
Height app. 20cm.
Subtly beautiful & extraordinary, the soft green appears to be surrounded by gentle snowfall
So ast Jenni, and thank you of course!
It's a lovely observation and description, snow on green nature.
So much goes into every vase made, this is a beauty for you to cherish. I just love the green !~
Thanks Phil and like you I admire the work in these vessels.
The green is delicious isn't it!
I love the flowing curves and the unusually calm and subtle take on spatter. Not always the case!
It is calm Peggy thanks for the lovely description.
And yes I have some spatter that's pretty in your face!
