Here is a 4"W green glass boot with a cat's head poking out the top, thusly named Puss in Boots by the Westmoreland Glass Co of PA, from the 1970s w/ orig label

Very odd and surreal imagery here- reminds me of a Salvador Dali or hieronymus Bosch painting! It’s wild and wonderful, I imagine kitty has found herself some new shoes from her owner and he’s done some exploring- hence why she’s puss in boots :P
What an interesting piece with such a stand out color! Looks to be in great shape too.
Super cute & fun! Long ago I had a kitten who slept in one of my bedroom slippers - yes, he was that tiny! This is definitely a piece of glass custom made to put a smile on your face... :-)

Thank you so much Lauren for your fab comment & agree about the Dali/Bosch type look, kind of weird how the little cat head & paws are popping out the top of the boot, but it is so true animals are fascinated with footwear, who knows why. Definitely a wild & unusual glass animal!

Marin what a sweet image of your tiny kitten sleeping in your bedroom slipper, it must've made a comfy bed with the added safe feeling kitty had being close to its owner - that has to be a reason so many animals love their owners shoes (only in the case of dogs, they usually chew and destroy them - is there a message there lol!) vintagelamp thank you for your lovely comment, you've probably not seen these Westmoreland Glass animals because the co. went out of business in 1984. There used to be a museum & gift shop of their wares in Port Vue PA but don't know if it's still there, it's sad because they produced a lot of pretty animals like this (I have more vintage ones to come...)

Searching what a lovely compliment, I'm really thrilled that you enjoy my glass animals, the collection is ever growing and pretty soon I'll need a second room to house everything lol (well, will just keep seeking more tall display towers, that should do it :) Agree this is a great shade of green, and even tho it's satin not transparent glass I think its really beautiful
