This was a nice "sleeper" buy it now find on eBayAU, described simply as an unusual decorative vase.
It is an example of a veined decor by Kralik, & matches a similar piece I obtained in 2018.
Made from dark green glass, it has a strongly iridescent finish & is drizzled all over with veined decoration. It measures 13.5 cm tall, 5.8 cm across the cut & polished top rim, & 5.5 cm across the base.
Last photo shows it with my other example of this decor in a different shape.
When the parcel arrived on my doorstep, I was initially dismayed (I swore, to be perfectly honest) because it was packed in only a flimsy padded bag! Couldn't believe my eyes. Anyway, I unwrapped it & thankfully heard no telltale clinking sounds of broken glass. Seriously, I still don't know how it survived an interstate journey intact with just a single layer of bubble wrap for protection. Just lucky, I guess!

      Marin,
It’s just incredible that someone thought it was packed well enough….and somehow(!!) the beautiful vase survived! It’s in good hands now, never to suffer peril again! :^D

      I alway enjoy your posts.

Very nice! I really like the colors of the veining in these two. I am so glad it didn't end in disaster for you Marin. It really is shocking how some people package glass - thankfully it is a small minority!

It's neat how the inside of the veining is blue!

      Many thanks, Patricia!
Yes, it's a funny thing indeed as I've had some parcels which looked far better packed than this one sustain damage. Sometimes, luck is on your side, that's all I can imagine in this case. So glad you enjoy my posts - I also appreciate your support very much!

      Much appreciated, Michelle!
Sounds like you've had some experience with dodgy packaging as well - so frustrating isn't it? I think this seller is fairly new to the game as they don't have much feedback yet. It does make the mind boggle to think some people would believe it good enough to send a glass vase in a padded bag. Oh well, just so glad it ended well!

      Thanks also, Bernard!
Yes, the veining on this pieces is really cool, it reminds me of stripy toothpaste (I don't even know if they still make it but it seemed to be a thing in the 80s).
