Well today I am posting a recent find to a Brooch I have. the D&E Peacock color Heliotrope Brooch will now be a set. The Earrings stones I found will make a great addition to the brooch. There is one of the new stones that is already (or is) an earring, while the other sits atop a stick pin. I am not sure if it was a always a stick pin but it will easily convert to an earring to make a set.
How cool is that!

Yes, great score, our very lucky Lori, I still can't get over the design and how beautiful that brooch is, a real stunner. Now you just have to look hard to find the equally stunning green earrings for the brooch while I know that may be impossible because no one would want to break a set with such a supreme brooch !~

I don't think the two carved stones are in their original settings, I say that because there are no prongs and the setting that both stones are set in are 1) to large for the stones; 2) the settings are newer, more like you would find in the 15-20 years; 3) the stones lack the gilt and accent of highlights.
So I would say do not spend too much on Stick-pins. I am just glad the stones are mine. thanks.
