Hello, im looking for info on this table. I was told it could be 1890s and made from mahogany. I picked it up at Goodwill. No markings other than some numbers.

Possibly early 20th century as the style was going on to near 2nd w.w. I have a small console which has 3 feet, only 2 legs have carving of lions heads, but not near as nice as yours which have these better leg carvings. The style is called Irish Chippendale which I have some furniture pieces. They were particularly done the best by the Irish, although up to the 1960's most were "thought" to be English by the "experts" in the books. Most early books up to the 1960's have that faulty information. This one probably was done sometime in the 1890's and I am saying that because the carving is somewhat much nicer than my 1910 or later piece. The best Irish Chippendale was done up to the 1760's and I have one left in my collection because the match was sold by Tiffanys in 1908, and is in Rockefellers home, now a museum. This very nice piece of yours might have been done up to 1910 or so but the carving is done more extragantly by most companies working then. It was done probably in a pair as side tables. Now they usually are made with coffee tables in a set.
