old paper things from an old drawer (#1)

It never hurts to take a quick second to glance at the old paper stuff sometimes found left behind in the drawers of old furniture -- sometimes it is kinda cool old stuff?!! ;-) :-) Here's a couple such items.

They are two "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA War Ration Book One" stamp books from 1942. Both have handwriting and stamps showing they were issued in Chicago, and both have a few of the removable stamps intact inside.

That's the extent of what I know about them...
