Here is a 4"W green satin mist glass turtle paperweight with sculpted back shell, by Westmoreland Glass of PA from the 1970s. Item #10 as seen in the book Glass Animals by Spencer

It’s a beautiful green and I think the satin glass really adds a lot.
I love the deep dark green of him, really reminds me of seaweed, or some tropical palm trees maybe which is really appropriate too! I also love how simple his sculpt is, his face kinda reminds me of something cartoonish?! Especially his beady little eyes poking out of his shell! :P
Gorgeous green and nice to see shading of back, I just love representations of turtles in glass. I would find it hard to pick in dark or light so I think having them both would be a win !~

Lauren that's a great comparison, seaweed or palm trees can have this color and this fellow is rather tropical. I do think the face is kinda cartoony as well, awesome comment & insight thanks very much!
Thank you Phil for your super comment & I'm also a fan of glass turtles esp when in realistic colors like green (well, this is more a fantasy shade but still a turtle's color!). The way this turtle has a darker shell and lighter body parts is really cool
