When I received this lovely little thing it brought a tear to my eye, I found it sooo! beautiful..it has a 3D affect as the lake scene is painted on the underside of the lid and the ‘lady’ on the top….
c1910 Adolf Beckert.. steinschöna…..4cm x 6cm in diameter.

Thanks Jenni, I think that is wonderfully romantic, but no!..she’s fishing for fish, you can see them at the bottom of her line, you can actually see them better if you look at the inside painting of the lid, third photo..
Of course, and she does it so gracefully - a gorgeous unique find

I love the colours also, and especially the lavender helps to bring in the perspective of the entire scene. The other colours are just a bonus and with the other view on the bottom this is a precious piece for any owner !~

Technically amazing. Even without the painting the lid is so good. Look at the lines in it to match the base. Wow.
I think the profile of the lady is divine particularly in view of the year she was painted. Look at the graceful neck and arms, and her pretty apron. I can't keep looking at it!

hope ya had a good day yesterday ...and got stuff ...we had a lovely meat loaf ..cause we had stack wood, but we have a small turkey the wife 's going to cook Sunday ....lol

What a special piece wonder if it is out of his imagination or something he experienced she is fishing in a fish net dress on a fairly steep bank in high heels, great colors
