Got these 2 crank phones in today. Anybody know what year or purpose? They weigh together about 45 pounds.

Interesting..well you have a manufacture label. On the schematic there should be a model number. That will help date it.
Some quick info..

Standard, single-box phones followed and were produced until the early 1920s. Concurrently, Kellogg also made candlestick models such as the Desk Stand 15D and 16D."
"In 1954, three years after Kellogg was purchased by ITT, the company produced its own version of the Western Electric 500, as well as wall phones that aped Western Electric models. By 1965, the Kellogg brand was dropped entirely."

I found this description..but more research is needed..
"This is an original WWI US Army Signal Corps field phone. Has been well cared for and has no cracks, dings or dents. The leather strap is fully intact with no rips or repairs. The telephone cord is also fully intact with no rips or repairs. The case has a push button to open/close/lock the case that works perfectly. The top area reads Field Telephone Model 1917 Signal Corps US Army Order No. 41621 Mar 2 1918. The inner area features the Kellogg maker mark and the inner lid reads D-14205 on the instructions. Top of the phone receiver is stamped D 29959 70. Measures approx 10 1/4 inches tall, 9 inches from side to side and 5 1/4 inches from front to back (all measurements taken with the case closed)."
