* Set #416, 1955“The Prospector” Santa Fe FM H12-44 with Flat car with load, box car, and HObbyline road name caboose. This is the only time HObbyline used the Santa Fe. road name. The set seen in the 1955 retail catalog had a PRR flat car and a Frisco Box car. The set as all sets and trains in 1955 came with the improved version of the original split Kunkle Couplers. In 1955 10 cataloged set were released.
* Two un-cataloged sets I know of are both B&O and sold in 1955. One a Passenger set and the other a freight set. Both sets were made by HObbyline for the Lloyds Hobby shop of Baltimore.
* All trains seen here are HObbyline. All road names seen in this set are the ones shown in the 1955 catalog. The FM H12-44 is a black HObbyline version that I re-lettered for the ATSF. It is all original with the exception of the lettering. I still am looking for this loco as it is the only one, I don't have. It is the only piece I am missing to complete my collection of these cataloged, ready to run HObbyline trains.
