Set # 431 "The Silver Meteor". The is a streamlined PRR passenger set with just 2 Pullman chair cars and an Observation car. The noted difference from other PRR streamlined cars of 1955 is the red strip above the windows.
1956 is the last year for standard catalogs, and this is the last passenger set released by HObbyline. 1956 is the year for 2 changes. The couplers were now NMRA standard horn hook type, and the diesel drives were now single truck with traction tires. In freight trains they stayed with the HObbyline lettered cabooses, just these now have NMRA couplers. So now all HObbyline trains with NMRA couplers are from 1956 with the exception of kit cars and factory assembled kit cars used in sets and sold as RTR (ready to run) in 1957.
Passenger train sets are the best. Especially with PA units, or F units.
