I thought this was a film can when I first found it, and it didn't rattle -- so it was somewhat after that when I came across it again and finally *opened* it -- and there's a spool inside with some microfilm on it??!! (at least that's what I think it is anyway...been a long time since I've been to a library and used microfilm??!! <sigh>)

Pic 4 shows about as much of 'what's on it' as I can show with the camera here, and in fact is all I know of it yet -- looks like it is printed music on the film, and probably only a few feet worth of it including some blank length at the ends spliced on with tape. I can't see it clearly enough yet to be able to identify the music, only to discern that it *is* music written on 3 staves, so there's a decent likelihood that it is pipe organ music...

I'm planning to make a trip to visit my local library soon to see if I can see and/or make printed copies of whatever it is. Maybe that'll prove amusing, to see how many people it'll take to find one that knows what microfilm is, and whether they have a machine to view it, and where that machine might be, and how it works...one thing I don't have is a microfilm viewer, oddly enough...? <LOL>

How can it be that you don’t have one??? Surely, you are not digging deeply enough. ;^D

I do have more than one kind of 'film viewing thing' Watchsearcher -- of course I do?! -- but the microfilm machines I remember were quite large things, so I've never needed one enough to get one...? ;-) :-) :-)

      THANKS for the <love it>s to you and to Newfld, jscott0363, kwqd, Vynil33rpm, dav2no1, Alfie21, Ben, vetraio50, fortapache, vintagelamp, & racer4four!!
