You know when you see something you really would love but unfortunately it’s in the right category and rightly attributed..so no!! hope..stuck it on my watch list and forgot about it..I got a reminder, opened it up and it only had minutes to go..no bids.. YET!!!.. so I put a bid on it, what the heck?….knowing the flurry will come in at the last few seconds…………WOO-HOOOO!!!..only bidder..
c1895…A teeny bit under 10 inches and is just the most glorious colour with a gold wash and purple iridescence..

Sometimes, you can just get lucky...I've managed it myself a few times...you almost feel like it's not worth bidding, but it on the odd occasion can pay off big time! Nothing ventured, nothing gained as I like to say... :-)

Thanks Marin, I rarely look in the ‘right’ places for glass..I find I have better success in obscure spots and always in my budget range.. this one was on one of …‘things I might like that are similar’…and yes! I must start having a go..as you say “ventured …..
