Three color stamp on each end: STANAVO Aviation Gasoline - sold by Standard Oil of California. I think that this is pretty early aviation stuff - at least early for California.

It is a VERY cool box! I've gotta wonder though...5gal (even twice) seems like an awful *little* amount of fuel for an airplane, unless maybe a model airplane...???
