Haven't posted anything for a while, but here's a new find to break the drought, a cheap buy on eBay AU.
This is a nice spatter glass vase by Welz, made from three layers of cased glass - clear over a fine, multicoloured spatter, with a white interior. It measures around 15 cm tall, 2.4 cm across the top rim, & 6 cm across the clear applied footed base.
Sits on five leaf - shaped feet.
Haven't seen this shape before - it has a pleasing simplicity.
In perfect condition.
Excellent find especially with undamaged feet, they always seem to cop it.
Many thanks, Bernard, & so true - I have so much Victorian glass with chipped feet that I tend to expect it as part of the package. Struck it lucky with this one & it only cost me $15 which was nice as well!
