Here's one from the 'strange things found beside the road' department. (we can leave for later the question about *why* I would go back to look twice then ultimately wrestle the thing into my truck...I'm not sure of that answer, either...?)

It appears to be the "belt" from a "conveyor belt", or at least part of one, and perhaps kind of a large one. Probably something from an agricultural or construction machine, I don't know. Pics show it now laid out in my driveway, it is a little longer overall than my truck is and a couple feet wide, made of a heavy reinforced rubber material that's gotta be at least 1/2" thick or more.

One side of it has now very worn triangular traction ridges on it and the other side is smooth, one end has a whole row of metal fastener/coupler parts attached to it while the other end is cut. Guessing it weighs at least 75lbs.

I used to work as an assembly mechanic building industrial assembly lines for the wood, metal andvplastic industries. Like plywood stackers, I beam machines, UHMW machines, etc. This is nor belt used in those.

This, I believe is from a cement truck..
