Last week I couldn't help noticing a local chicken place had suddenly closed and was being remodeled. They'd already taken down a couple of (smaller but similar) signs that'd been on the edge of the building itself, which were leaning up against a fence by a dumpster. Hmmm, I says to myself, those would be fun to have if they're really gonna get thrown out...??? But then I forgot all about them, and never went back by at nighttime to check.

THEN YESTERDAY, when passing by the same corner -- RUTTRO -- the actual (a good bit bigger!) sign that'd been on a post at the parking lot corner disappeared as well, and there were tell-tale corners of blue and yellow plastic now sticking outta that dumpster...????

So OOPS -- lookie what then followed me home in short order?? <LOLOL>

Good bad or otherwise, the twin plastic sign faces had been "pre-busticated" in order to fit the dumpster. Made it easier, in fact, to grab as many pieces as I could into the back of my truck, which then turned out to be nearly all of both signs. Left behind were obviously a few little puzzle piece parts, I also didn't even try to rescue the actual 'changeable letter board' part of the sign that'd been below these, but I did collect and keep the handful of those 'changeable letters' that'd been discarded with it, plus the suction cup pole-thingie tool that's used to change those letters around. Those are shown along with the sign faces (pic 3) and pic 4 is both sign faces atop each other. There's more than a 'complete' one between 'em, except for edge parts?!

For the record, the two smaller signs I'd first spotted WERE indeed also in that dumpster, but in the very bottom of it under a little too much other construction destruction debris for me to wanna attempt to try to dig out. 'Ya snooze 'ya lose, sometimes...? ;-) ;-) ;-)

And now the operative question(s) again -- what am I gonna *DO* with 'em now, and more importantly *WHY* do I keep doing this to myself????
