Hello everyone!!
The latest addition to my match holder collection is this antique silver plated spelter "Papa Bear" match holder. I do love a unique match holder and this one most certainly fits that description. I've never came across another like this one. He's very detailed from his hat to his pipe and his plaid patterned pants. This one is still in fine condition to be well over 100 years old. Papa Bear measures 3 3/4" tall and 3 1/4" wide.

Thanks!! Match holders were used primarily until about the mid-1900's. This one would date back to the Victorian era.
