Bought this Teapot for a song and a dance. It's porcelain and hanr painted. Not sure if it's very old or made to look it. Very nice little Pot with no dings.

      I love blue-and-white always :)
Are there any characters on the underside of the lid?
Also, just out of curiosity, is there a filter inside the spout?
    2. Guacahunter Guacahunter, 12 months ago
Yes and yes! There's a painting under the lid and holes inside to filter tea.

It looks like the real deal to me -- and old -- and well-loved :)
How much does it hold in ounces or ml? (Smaller pots are generally intended for higher-quality tea, such as sencha, while larger pots are usually meant for bancha.)
The inside of the lid often contains the name of the kiln in kanji characters.

Didn't see a name, just littlepainting under the lid. The porcelain is very fine and it glows like a lamp with light inside.
