Hello everyone!!
We attended an antique show yesterday and today and picked up a few items. I saw this and just couldn't leave without it. It's a 1920's-1930's Ford Model A/T running board picnic trunk. It's patent leather covered and, other than missing the original leather handles, it's still in relatively good condition for its’ age. It still retains 6 plates, 5 cups, 7 forks and 6 butter knives. The plates and cups are porcelain enameled tin. This would have strapped to one of the running boards of a Ford Model A or Model T car. It measures 26 1/2" long, 9 3/4" tall and 10" deep.

Great find! Awesome shape for its age. Can't imagine driving down those old rough roads with plates strapped to the fender..

Thanks!! I was thinking the very same thing. I know those old Model A and Model T cars couldn’t possibly have ridden very smooth and the roads were in nowhere near the condition as our roads are today.
Fabulous antique picnic trunk, looks very sturdy & imagine all the fun using it back then!

Thanks!! I hadn't seen one of these in such wonderful condition for a long time. So, I wasn't going to let this one slip past me. The Antique Show is a 2-day event. We spent hours and hours going thru everything there. I don't believe we missed a single thing there.
