Went to some stores with my sister today and she was the one who showed this to me. Got a great deal on this too. When I got to car after purchase, I noticed that the pendant clasp says silver on it. Any ideas on age of this piece?

very pretty bird!
When Nixon opened up the U.S. market to China in the early 1970s, the imported jewelry was the rage. I remember my mother buying several pieces and I remember the displays in the stores. I'm guessing your beautiful bird dates from that time period.
