Here is a 3"W red glass open salt bowl in the shape of an art deco swan, by Bayel Glassworks of France, known for their fine champagne glasses since the year 1300. This swan bowl is ca 1970s with orig Bayel France gold label

Beautiful blood red color- I love that shade, it’s so rich and decadent(is that the word?) the folded neck and wings are so elegant on her, she’d look great with really expensive and rich treats in her.... maybe those dark chocolates?! ????

Thanks so much Searching for your wonderful praise for this swan bowl, I love the bright red glass and it was awesome to get this with the label as I was unfamiliar with Bayel Glass before now. Finding red glass animals is often difficult so this was a good score for me
Lauren you're right, the blood red is very rich and somewhat decadent - I have another piece in this shade by Mosser Glass of a ballerina dish that is pretty risque! I too love that bowed head of the swan it's really unusual, and this little bowl would be great to serve little candies in. Fabulous comment & super idea thank you as ever
Thank you Scott for your great compliment & yes this red is very bold, I felt it showed up best near a sunny window as it's such a lovely shade. Nice to find one of these vintage small bowls they are hard to come by & this French glassmaker is new to me
