Vintage ink pen desk set

Black glass base, cut glass ink wells and the brass hinge pieces look like they were silver plated at one stage, the pen holders will be bakelite. Not sure why I like these now as when I was young and being taught to write by the penguins I surely did not! Admittedly ours where fountain pens but you still needed to fill them from inkbottles and there always seem to be someone making a mess in the class. Also the fact that every Adult I knew used Bic pens as did I before starting school!
