The Ultimate Soldier series were the first high quality figures released in the 1990s that I recall. There was no figure included or available when these were released. You had to use GI Joe figures. Luckily Hasbro had released some reproduction figures at this point but no accessories. The figure seen here is Ultimate Soldier but from a later set.
The set is a Vietnam war era USMC machine gunner. Pretty much the same as a US army machine gunner. The dressed figure I already had. I plan to use this new set to make an assistant gunner. They did work in 2 man teams.
Joe would have been wonderful in this outfit !~
