    1. An Arts and Crafts Firesurround. Unique in the sense I could never find anything else even vaguely similar despite extensive research. In fact after such disparaging comments from all three of my kids who have previously always trusted my judgment as a designer. They in unison they renamed it Moms “mausoleum piece” I’m sure all three had conspired to hate it so much that I had no option other than to resell it. So after so much maligned joking around I resold and made a handsome £500 profit. Cat-chin ????
    2. I found this lovely seller on Instagram @kirkcroftantiques I had actually traveled all the way to Rippon in North Yorkshire to collect my wonderful French Chest of drawers (item 4) I just couldn’t simply resist buying 4 of these fabulous electrical sconces. They were just a snip at £40 each. I’ve since decided not to use them as wall-lights but as a decorative candle wall sconces. I do know they are French and love their gorgeous timeworn patina. These are definitely keepers.
    3. My beautiful French Painted Bookcase is simply gorgeous. Purchased in the nearby town of Northampton from Verity Antiques @verityantiques was exceptionally well priced at just £475. The lovely ex hairdresser Dominic, turned antique dealer with his very persuasive, genuine personality and eye for all things good sold me in succession a further 3 pieces. Sadly 2 were impulse buys and will have to go to another good new home.
He ironically set up his business by default to when his wife threatened to leave him if he bought anything else for their home which was overrun with furniture. He like me has fallen into this game by total default.
    4. Last but not least, is once again one of my prized and favourite pieces, a divine French painted chest of drawers. I have such a penchant for cherubs so this was just an irresistible purchase. Caroline had actually and sadly purchased it for herself and regrettably it just wouldn’t fit into her own home. Once again this chest will take pride of place as too will the bookcase in our chinoiserie inspired master bedroom. A lovely piece from my new found friend and follower way up North in Rippon, Yorkshire @kirkdaleantiques

I love the chest of drawers the most, but they bastardized it by painting it white I think. Those columns in #3 are super, more egyptian revival in style.
