This vase designed by Michael Powolny for Bakalowits - Werknummer 806-18 - was produced by Loetz PN=III/938 (1918-19) 'Saphir, 4 handles'. A same example is exhibited at the Passau Glass Museum and shown in 'Loetz Boehmisches Glas 1880-1940' Vol I at page 288 and described by the authors as '... with handles pulled out ...one of the most successful designs ....' . My vase stands 15 cm high and has a top diameter of 19 cm.

One other point of order, Kai - these were made for Lobmeyr (vs Bakalowits)

No problem, Kai - and now it seems I have finally found one of my own; more to come on this. :)
