This pretty butterfly came today. I saw this and thought it was really pretty with the metallic enamel, but was not quite sure what it was used for. It has some wire out of the back. Any ideas of what this is, and how old it might be?

You didn't tell the size... But it seems the wires are out of shape legs!
I suspect it is an ornament\display bauble, as I don't see any trace of findings for wearing it as jewelry :-)
