Here’s a thing from the past….single edge razor blades….packages of 4 blades for 10 cents.
These came from my dad’s store, probably from the 1960s or early ‘70s.
The package includes a stiff cardboard flange which would have adhered to the back to stand it on a counter or shelf as a display.

I have not found online info about Elliott Blade Company of Rome, Georgia. I suspect this came from a wholesale company called Elliott Sales but I have not been able to confirm that….so it’s a bit of a mystery.

I’ve owned this display of razor blades since sometime around the 1980s.
The display and it’s package were pristine when my parents gave it to me, but over the years, I occasionally needed a razor blades when cleaning windows or floors and these were handy.
Having a better appreciation now for this old display, I’ll refrain from pilfering blades from it again.

Thanks for taking a look! Input welcome.

That's pretty neat!! I remember my Dad using a razor that took this type of blade. I'd be willing to bet that somewhere in my 90 year old Mom's house are still a pack or two of razor blades.

Blast from the past...memories of Dad shaving, and my teenage self nicking my legs pretty often. Great post Patricia

Vynil33rpm, thanks! I thought so too!

jscotto363, thanks for commenting! Those single edge blades were always useful around the house even if they got too dull for shaving whiskers.
Our moms probably found plenty of uses for them.

Newfld, Oh those nicked, bleeding spots on our poor legs!! Ouch!

To everyone who “loved” the razor blade display, thank you very much!

Joelean44, I’ve never used them for their original purpose since I don’t have the style razor which held them….I use them for all sorts of household purposes.
