      I spent almost all my 20s playing 8 ball and 9 ball. Put together an APA(American Pool Players Association) 8 ball team(bar league), I was the captain. We won our division and went to the city tournament and took 1st place. That got us a trip to Las Vegas for the National Team Tournament. 2 of our players couldn't make it, so we only had 6 members. We finished about 16th out of 466 teams. I won a match with two 8 ball breaks in a row against an East Coast team(Jersey or NY). I'll have to post my trophy, jacket and patches some time. Was a long time ago..1998..now you can't even have your pool sticks with your carry on.
