This glass cat paperweight by Austrian maker Riedel Glass is 4" high x 3" wide x 2.5" deep and weighs 12.5 ounces. Back is smooth, the rest is textured, including the base. It has a vaguely brown color when viewed from certain angles and looks clear from other angles. It is not marked but originally had a label.

Hi, I believe the style, size and type of glass is much of a possibility from Sweden, they had much clear crystal 'ice glass', this looked like ice cubes with designers who focused on figurines during 1970s and forward.
Compared to other countries, the art glass piece sizes were consistently small, except some huge floor size glass vases.

Thanks, Lisa! Hopefully, I will be able to find a labeled example.... So far, I have not been able to find another like it. It might be in a book of glass animals. I have a couple but haven't checked them, yet.

Updated images. There is a bit of wear to the back and to the base so it has been used. I post images to Glassmessages.com and no joy, apparently not a common cat.
Still no joy on this! Nothing helpfully glassmessages....
