1965 Wood Carved Bust
Approximately 5 1/2" x 10"
My favorite of the lot I picked up. I have a large collection of wood carved masks, figures, animals, etc.
The carving is of a man. The front of the base says, "1793". The back of the base has the artist's initials "CH"? and VII 65..I believe to be 7/65? The same artist initials are also on the back of the piece.
I did a little research and have no idea what the significance of 1793 is? Any opinions are appreciated.
