Fresh estate fine old spike bayonet, button attachment on handle only number I see is 1000 on the top of the handle. No other identifying marks to my eyes any help identify the Mfg. or era this was produced would be greatly appreciated.

French Model 1874 Gras rifle bayonet (1874-1885). Your handle looks funky..possibly replaced or it's a bad reproduction? Not sure, more research needed.
