Within the first 2 photos is all the HO tank cars released by HObbyline from 1954 to 1957, with the addition of the Special Rohm Hass tank car. The third photo is of 2 custom lettered HObbyline tanks. I made them in Yellow and Silver using decal sets from Champ. They are copies of a CONOCO tank car seen in some catalogs. Because the photos were only in black and white, I used tanks of 2 different colors, yellow and silver. The 4th photo is of the Walters Humble Oil tank car. This car’s graphics are identical to a special HObbyline tank car made for a Humble Oil group of emploies, I guess. There is only 2 differances between this Walters car and the special car which is the special was a HObbyline tank car not a Walters. The other differance is the recording #. It should be HOX 316. The arrangement of the inlet nozels on the dome is the most distinguising feature on the HObbyline tank car. The only Model train co. to use this style of dome is MARX, like HObbyline for every tank car they ever made. Marx made a whole lot more the HObbyline. Marx dome cars are easy to tell from HObbyline as the only car part the same, they share, is the dome.
Enjoy your train colecting;
