I'm hoping this 14cm, 5 1/2" vase is Loetz Papillon, perhaps someone can confirm this. I can't find one exactly the same but have seen a couple of their miniature pieces with a similar appearance. It doesn't have a ground pontil mark but apparently the mould blown pieces don't. It has a ground rim and a wrinkly, wrythen finish and is quite heavy at 12oz.

I own a Loetz Sphinx with a Dek no. on its base. No pontil but it is smooth. The papillon decor is 'spotty' all over the vase.

Thanks sklo42, here's a link to a Loetz site which shows some of the miniature vases, there are also quite a few others viewable on line.
      https://www.loetz.com/decors-a-z/miniatures
As you can see, on these pieces the decor is "spotty" at the bottom but becomes elongated further up.

Thank you, I'd never seen that page of Loetz. com.

Excitement over, it's actually Scottish, made by Caithness but still a nice vase, oh well :(
