This 2 1-2"W goldtone brooch has a mother of pearl swan sleigh with cherub holding the pink pearl enamel reins, three enamel flowers w/ tiny AB stones and small rhinestone eye. Retired design named Swan Princess marked Kirks Folly from the 1980s

Such a pretty little swan, she's so delicate- like a cake decoration! Or indeed at this time of year she has that sort of look a Christmas tree decoration has, nearly reminiscent of Swan Lake
Again a real beauty. Her stance has become a carriage or sleigh with a little chipmunk or squirrel as the driver. Gorgeous for the holiday season !~

Lauren thank you for your awesome praise, yes I think this was based on Swan Lake as the item name is Swan Princess...if you recall, in many of the SL ballets the end scene has Odette and the Prince gliding across the water into eternity in a swan carriage. I REALLY loved that ballet, saw it several times by different touring ballet co's. And this piece is very delicately made & would make a great cake topper
Thank you Phil for your super compliments for this swan, I know, it's really cute that she is being led around by that tiny golden character, most probably a cherub or fairy which were big in Kirks Folly designs - this was a classic by them & I have a few others by them, but many were 'over the top' fantastical with dangling moon, stars etc. It truly is a nice holiday design as well
