Hello everyone! I am trying to find out the age and maker of this composition doll. My mother was born in 1939 and this doll reminds me of her. I found her in a church rummage sale and was drawn to her as I imagined that she would have been similar to something in my mother's generation. I am guessing at 1940s to 1950s. There is no identifying marks on her. I am hoping someone can share any information with me as to age and hair material. She is connected with a large black rubber band inside that seems to be in good condition. Thank you for any information in advance. I hope to learn more about her soon.

She dates around 1930 early 40's. She is made of composition and is in very good condition. Called a "Mama Doll" she should have a hard thing in stomach if it worked it would make a sound like"ma ma" .So many companies made these it hard to say who made her although she is in original clothes so if you ever see another in same clothes would help ID her. Very nice find and especially since she reminds you of your Mother.

Manikin- Thank you so much! She doesn't make any sound so I would have never known! She is a treasure to me. Thank you again for solving my mystery ????

She is not a Mama Doll since she has a full composition body .You added extra photos which rules out a Mama doll. Her maker remains unknown, her mohair wig is not high quality, so it rules out a few large companies.
