I have been trying to identify these. My nephew found them in a well years ago. Are they rings for a farm animal yoke?

kwqd, they are 5 1/2 inches across. They are pretty rusty. There is an encasement on the bottom made of ?? Which is about 4 1/2 inches in length.

Well, hello stranger! Glad to see you posting again. I wonder if these could have been used in lowering the bucket into the well? Just a guess.

Hi jscott0363! It has been awhile! I stopped by my childhood home last week. It is being renovated. The house is well over 100 years old. I recalled my nephew finding these and I know they were not from my family. Anyway, that stroll down memory lane prompted my curiosity once more. Would love to know what they are.
