This vase was originally purchased at Garasu no Sato, a glass museum which is now in Suwa, near Nagano. Until about 2015 Garasu no Sato was located in Hiroshima when they moved to premises at Suwa that had previously been the Lalique Museum.
The museum showcases mainly Japanese glass, much of it from the late 20th Century, and has a shop attached where art glass may be purchased.
This piece was purchased from the previous premises in Hiroshima, and no detail is with the paperwork to say who made this.
I believe it Japanese made for a whole lot of reasons: the colours, their love of cameo glass, the heavily sand blasted finish, the size, the added foot, and the deliberate acceptance of imperfections.
I believe this vase has been blown in multiple layers, with hand worked handle, flowers, and foot added after that. It has then been sand blasted cameo style.
It's deliciously OTT.
I don't know who may have made it.
35cm circa 2000
That glass does have that cameo feel in its decoration, fascinating !~
